Crepes are mine and kids favorite desserts or breakfast to have! We usually go to IHOP or Bob Evans for crepes. I love the mix berries fillings to be exact. Meanwhile, kids loves their Nutella crepes so as per request this morning i made them some.

Here is my simple recipe yet it's very delicious!

You Need:

1 cup buttermilk pancake mix (I use the KRUSTEAZ light and fluffy)
1 cup 2% milk
2 beaten eggs
1/4 tsp lemon extract
cooking spray
1 semi-ripe banana
Nutella for filling
chocolate syrup for drizzles
confectioner sugar (optional for dashing)

  • In a bowl, whisk the first 4 ingredients (pancake mix, milk, eggs and lemon extract) altogether until well blended.
  • Heat skillet over medium to low heat then light spray it for grease.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of batter mixture in the middle then spread it out to the skillet, cook until lightly brown on each side.
  • Then in a serving dish, start plating with Nutella filling and form it whatever you desired.
  • Add slice banana on top and drizzles it with Hershey's chocolate syrup and dash it with powdered sugar!
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Had a wonderful weekend with family, it's all our kids on the weekend. Taken them at kids toys store and they had fun so much! Got them some toys and stuff. Then I was asked by my son if I can buy him a guitar? Well of course if it’s the beginners’ kind without the guitar power amp rack, lol! Seriously, I would gladly get him one if he wants to. I told him mom would be so happy if he learns to play an instrument especially if that’s a guitar. Taking the little man and little sister to music class, probably this coming summer. Winks!

Just wanted to share this very important article, everyone must read:

Some molds, such as those in blue cheese, are safe to eat. But others can be dangerous, especially to people who are in frail health, warns the UC Berkeley Wellness Letter. The molds on bread and grain products are among the most toxic. Often the visible mold has rootlike threads that penetrate the food. Moreover, the toxins produced by mold cannot be destroyed by cooking. The Wellness Letter recommends:

 ▪ Refrigerate produce if possible, and use it before mold grows.

 ▪ Throw out small fruits, such as berries or grapes, that are moldy. Wash fruit only when you are ready to eat it, as moisture promotes mold.

 ▪ Small moldy areas of large, hard fruits and vegetables, such as apples, potatoes, cauliflower, or onions, may be safely cut out. Moldy soft fruits, such as peaches and melons, should be discarded.

 ▪ Moldy hard cheese may be partially salvaged by cutting away the outer part at least an inch [2—3 cm] away from the mold. But throw out moldy soft cheese and yogurt, along with moldy bread, meat, leftovers, nuts, peanut butter, syrups, and preserves.

Drug addiction has long been a problem of the society. It’s the cause of insurmountable heartbreaks and damages not just to the lives of the patients but as well as their loved ones. It is something so serious that back then nobody would even talk about it, thinking that drug addiction is a hopeless case. But things changed big time. No doubt it is still one of the world’s biggest problems but today, people are accepting the fact that a victim does needs the strongest of help, professional detox for example. They become open about such treatment, a sign that the do want to be free and well again. That may well be the positive side of things.

Having a network of good friends may well increase a person’s life span, reports the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health. A study of nearly 1,500 Australians aged 70 or over examined how relationships affected longevity over a ten-year period. Individuals with a strong network of friends had a mortality rate 22 percent lower than those with few friends. Active friendships also have a positive effect among the elderly when it comes to “depression, self efficacy, self esteem, coping and morale, or a sense of personal control,” says the report.

Okay so today I feel like reading health articles and as a random pick, I came across cigarette smoking and its alternative electronic cigarette or what is known as e cigarette. Sort of reminds me of my old friend during one of our conversations. I haven’t seen one I told her but she and a couple more college friends are using e cigarette as their preferred way to smoke. They actually started back in college, when the peer pressure was strong, and they wanted to make a statement, to be someone. Stress is another thing, they say smoking calms them somehow, like they have to take a cigarette break to relax. That’s when the love and hate relationship between them and smoking begun. They love it in the sense that they’re addicted to it but hate it as well knowing it’s dangerous to the health. But anyway, they still do smoke and one of them is my friend whom I chatted recently.

Many studies and researched have been conducted to verify its safety and effectiveness. Also it is more sanitary to use because the device is refillable and rechargeable which makes it more pocket-friendly, users can just refill whichever variant they want, whenever, wherever. Accordingly, it also comes in many flavors, chocolates, blueberry and apple are just some of her favorites. And the catch is, some e cigarettes don’t include nicotine and those dangerous substances so it makes tobacco consumption lesser. Reports shows that it is most popular in Western Europe are now accepted worldwide. Well I bet she had her first experience with e cigarette from one of her trips in Europe, she worked for a cruise ship back then. That girl gets her stuff through online, since it’s more convenient and relatively cheap. She buys them in bulk so as to cut cost. Well she seems to be very happy about it. But actually she also mentioned about her goal to smokes in moderation. I’m just glad that after all these years of not being in contact with her, we can still be open about so many things even those serious stuff like her old habit.

One of the best potato soup you could taste. Never would have thought that one day this dish would be one of my favorite. Started when we dined in at Legend's restaurant back in Tennessee. Husband's favorite so he encourage me to try also so without a second thought i ordered from then on, my affair of this delicious side dish is pretty strong, lol. I learned how to make my own version of creamy and silky potato soup inspired by the restaurant and i didn't it! i admit mine is better than any other gourmet places in our locale that we've been, truly speaking! So without furthering it i will share my recipe and try it for yourself!

Then pour the milk, stir it continuously. Then simmer it approx 45 min to an hour in medium heat with continuous checking and stirring to prevent on sticking underneath until the potatoes completely cook. ( JUST ADD WATER OR MILK) if the sauce evaporates a lil to your desired. Then pour cheese and the quarter a cup of instant mash potato mix for thickening the soup slightly and the set aside crisp bacon chunks. Chocolates make everything better no doubt about it. It can put a smile to a frowning face, perks up the weary and cheer the gloomy. We all have our favorite chocolates, and I personally can attest to the fact that a bite of my favorite chocolate brings out the kid in me, not to mention it does melt my heart! I super like these set of four (4) bowls for my soup dishes like a home-made chili or an onion soup perhaps that my family would and always enjoy. Actually, I've been looking around for the perfect soup bowls lately because I love home cooking and it's been my hobby since. Cook delicious meals, make new recipes and all that stuff. I think i finally looked the right one! These stoneware soup bowls is definitely i need, what i like about is they're versatile, can be a bowl for our favorite soup or even use for a rice dish when i plan to cook an Asian meal them huh! I love it, nothing can stop me getting these at Target! I'll be ordering this online since the store doesn't carry them.

It’s just so nice to have a Filipina sister-in-law, she reminds me of home so much. We can get to talk about anything and relate to everything. We love the same food, we watch the same type of movies, and best thing is that we can be open to each other about plans in life. In one of our chitchats, she mentioned about her plans of getting into massage therapy training. Such skill is very in demand here in the US and since she wants to go back to work in the future, that’s something she wants to learn. Well I’m here o support her, that would be so nice. By then I will definitely be her first customer. Winks!

Had a delectable and satisfying dinner date with family on the weekend at Bono's BBQ place here in town. I must say they are one of the best BBQ restaurant you could have. Their food are fantastic specially the grilled chicken they serve, there is a hint of a Filipino flavored which i thought they use a similar recipe on it (mix of ginger, spices, teriyaki kinda way) Husband loves it so much one reason he enjoy going there!

The cook prep is way neat, as you go walk in inside, the big grilling station welcome you ahead. Apparently you can view the mouth watering, delicious goodness of the meat while they are cooking. The chefs are friendly and they make sure you are enjoying your stay at the resto.

They have the bar as well at the front of the grilling station where you can eat and have some fun.

Fried mushrooms are the best one i ever eaten from them. We love it as our appetizers with their home-made ranch dressing, yummy! We ordered it because the lil girl can't get enough of it. Very tasty which is crunchy on the outside then juicy and soft in the inside, just melts in your mouth as you bite it. The flavor is so settled and you only wanted more and more!

Another favorite appetizer i must have, is their chicken wings, it's either spicy or just the southern style wings which was my main dish that night. Although they quite of choices from super spicy hot, to garlic butter, barbecue, sweet and spicy.

Ok, here is my plate! Southern style chicken wings with celery and ranch dressing, a side of okras (my favorite) and a side of french fries. So stuffed and very satisfied.

You should visit this place guys i tell they have the best food you ever taste!
