Are you an oatmeal fan? if you ask me, not so much, lol! However, oatmeal is good for us therefore i can manage to have a bowl of oatmeal once in awhile. Oatmeal has plenty of wonderful benefits towards our body, from high fiber to healthy heart, good source of  good carbohydrates, natural prevention of high  cholesterol too! Without a doubt, oatmeal is one healthy breakfast to start up your busy day ahead. I agree with that, that's why even though i am not really a fan of oatmeal i try my best to have not everyday but most likely on regular basis. So, how do you prepared your bowl of oatmeal? are you a lover of oatmeal? or not? Well, simply if you love it am sure you can fix them anything you want, isn't it? To those like me, i preferred the brown maple and banana flavored. They are just right for picky eater to satisfied your taste buds. I mix it with enough of 2% milk and quarter of white sugar. Just enough to drink it rather than to eat it. Then i serve it hot! I think it's delicious when you done i it that way.

My new mini baking business is picking up good lately and thought of doing something to let others, costumers see my wide selection of cakes, pastries, breads and more by getting some stuff at for cheap brochures, labels and business cards. They have all kinds of products regarding printing services. What i like them about is they offer low price and fast. I view their samples, and i like their bunch of designs! One of the best online printing service you could get plus their program is easy to navigate.

Husband and I had movie marathon last night. While watching i made some desserts to be eaten while enjoying the movies. Made a mouth watering chocolate bread pudding with super delicious berries caramel sauce. It was insanely yummy.  Bread pudding is one of my specialty to make. I usually do the typical bread pudding, however this time i made the chocolaty one instead of just regular. Am definitely right it's as scrumptious as my pinoy bread pudding that i always fix. I incorporate my special caramel sauce with it, once in awhile i do experiment new flavors of sauces and i love caramel sauce. Well who doesn't? lol. You can pair them with your favorite desserts like pies, ice creams, pancakes, fruit fritters and more.

So anyhow, without further ado would love to share my bloody yummy goodness dessert that for sure your family and friends will love it!

That's why i am so excited when i recently found my new buddies, they surely make my cooking more tasty and lovable. Veri Peri premium sauces are very versatile when it comes to their uses. They are south Africa's most popular marinade best for grilling and BBQ! So, what i love about their sauces? is because of the unique flavor on it, the golden hues that just melt in your mouth goodness. The texture is so delicate and creamy! I admit, i use the veri peri garlic and lemon herbs just that night as part of my cooking ingredients, lol! I cook bunch from rice, vegetables to grilling some ribs.  I learned they are made with the African bird's eye chili, considered the truffle of chilies, they are also gluten-free, dairy-free and low carb so you can use them as much as you wanted. You can also use it for condiment or dressing to your favorite salad. Not to mention, the aroma is so so delectable.

I was in the mood for some serious cleaning yesterday, I thought so because any moment from now, we are to welcome the newest member of the family, a bouncing baby girl named Meg. So might as well tidy everything and clean the clutters eh! So what about the title? I just noticed, the husband got a few pieces of Dunlop guitar picks in his desk, why oh why? I thought he learned piano when he was a kid, anyway these can be sort of collectors item because these pieces are ancient. What I mean is, they are old models, vintage I should say. Well I gotta love it, will be a super cool house decor aren't they?

Ukoy is a popular Filipino appetizer. It's made of shrimp, mung sprout, eggs, flour, salt and pepper then fried it like patties. Then accompanied it with the simply delicious and flavorful sauce. It's crispy and crunchy deep it to the spicy vinegar with Thai chili is satisfying. It is also known one of the pinoy street food snack. Every corner during my school life vendors are just wait away and when the break time well you know where students goes, lol.

Anyway, here is my recipe for it. Been craving them in awhile now and husband went fishing he brought me some fresh shrimp some of them were still alive so how good is that? Timely had the mung sprouts so i hastily fix it for ukoy.

1/2 lbs mung beans sprout
20 pieces small shrimps
salt and pepper to taste
Frying oil
1/2 cup flour
2 eggs
1/4 cup corn starch

Combine altogether until well mix. Preheat frying pan. Then make a patty shape. Toast them until brown and crispy. That's all. Serve hot with vinegar mixture.

A girl is said to be a masterpiece, beautiful in many ways. There's this something about women that makes her special, a true one of a kind. I think most of you would agree with me that all women is indeed pretty but that doesn't mean there's no need to enhance or improve ourselves. Nope, it's not about being vain but we of course need simple maintenance, I call them my tools to stay pretty and cute, lol! Let's talk about one of them, cosmetics. I don't have much of a collection actually but yes, I'm the kind of girl who likes to prettify herself with lipsticks, eye shadows, mascara, blushes, etc. But you know what, it's been a while since I bought something for myself, usually I send it to the family back home in the Philippines. So this time I thought of looking for something new, a new shade of lipstick perhaps or blush. Let's see.

I choose to check out Tarte Cosmetics, a home to natural beauty and skin care products. One of my friend has been using this brand and encourage me to give it a try. Well accordingly, Tarte is a great cosmetic because the blush and shadows for instance stay with you all day long, like there's no need for touch-ups anymore. I'm actually looking for waterproof mascara, wow my first! I don't usually apply mascara so I'm excited to try Tarte's 'lights, camera, splashes 4-in-1 waterproof mascara.' What makes it nice is that you're getting the bombshell look with those long, curly lashes and yet not worrying too much because olive ester, which is one of its ingredients protect and treat your lashes.

I would definitely love to try Tarte Natural Cosmetics and prettify the Me! Now then, to be a woman means we have to keep up and do practical ways to improve ourselves but of course true beauty still and will always lie from within. Winks!

We have warm temperature lately during the day however i feel like fixing soup the other night. Sotanghon soup is a very popular dish in my country. Since the better half wasn't feel that good that day i thought of fixing the comforting and delicious sotanghon soup so that he will get back to his own self, lol.

I was right! housemates enjoyed every spoonful of soup. I did my own version i called it My Dinangdang, because it's all in one pot of goodness concoction, you have your protein which is the chicken meat, some vegetables, the carbs which is the corn cobs. I incorporate the traditional soup and some stuff i had in my refrigerator. Recipe is so easy and ingredients are so basics. This soup base on the ingredients is healthy and very nutritious.

6-8 pieces of chicken drumstick
small pack sotanghon noodles
1 chicken bouillon
small slice ginger
chop garlic
chop onion
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp datu puti vinegar (this makes the soup even tastier)
2 tbsp vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste
pinch of paprika
pinch of garlic salt
water (eyeball up to your desire)
5 corn cobs
strips green bell pepper
a handful of baby spinach

~The chef's portion~

In a pot, heat oil and toss the chicken let it braised for 10 minutes or until chicken is medium brown. Saute garlic and onion together with the soy sauce and vinegar. Continue braise for 5 minutes. Pour water and simmer till boil. Add garlic salt, paprika, chicken bouillon, ginger cover let it simmer until chicken are fully cooked. Then add corn cobs, simmer for 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredient, bell pepper and carrots, then followed the sotanghon noodles lastly is the baby spinach, salt and pepper. Simmer for more minutes (just add water for soupy desired). Serve hot.

You don't need rice for this. It's all in one pot. I bake some biscuits for the side. It was delicious! Wink!

Pets, we love them and make them part of our family. They stay with us, eat with us, live with us. But what happens when pets are not friendly anymore, in fact they’re becoming a danger and hazard to our health? Well, I’m talking about the unwanted pets that can be lurking inside our homes or buildings such as termites, rats, roaches, fleas, silverfish, etc. It is important to get rid of them and keep our homes and surroundings safe and a healthy haven especially for our kids.

The first thing to do is prevention, it is I think included with the construction plan before building let’s say a house. Then of course the maintenance, it matters a lot when we make sure our house is clean, tidy and free from clutters. But what if your house is infested with pests already? Measures should be taken and if necessary, pest control services should be hired. After all these are the people that does the job of exterminating pest in a safe and effective way.

Actually, I should share this article to my sister because the last time we chat, she informed me about the rats that’s invading her place right now. Good thing she doesn't freak out that much or the neighbors will hear her scream quite often.

I’m so excited to write about this product which I recently had why because I think, and I bet you will too that it’s a must-have! Like really, we all should keep it in handy. Okay so I’m talking about the Polar Bear cooler- the best cooler you can ever have. Let me explain, we just came from a week-long trip in TN not too long ago. It was fun, we completely enjoyed the ride. But there’s a lil downside on it too, for a 12 hours travel, we got to keep the food fresh especially for the kids. Juices, fruits, sandwiches, as a mom I gotta make sure it’s as if fresh from the fridge. I thought our old cooler was good enough but then it’s not. Up until Polar Bear cooler came and I just love it!

Polar Bear cooler is built for outdoors, it will keep ice for the whole day! I was completely satisfied with how it kept our food fresh and delicious. Also unlike other coolers, this one is not bulky and heavy, just right for people on the good. I’m just glad to have found a product that’s really helpful, something I plan to keep for a long, long time. They sent me the 24 pack in red and i just love the color of it. Will definitely use it more and something else such as gone to fishing or camping. Winks!

It was my sister in-law's baby shower yesterday and i am the one delegated to make the baby shower cake. Of course, i did the best cake ever kidding aside! However though, i promised to the in-laws i will make a beautiful and delicious cake on that day. I was inspired by this cake since the theme invitation was a baby carriage with pink and green motif in it. I found a photo similar to this one on the net and we agreed the design. But, i really don't wanna be the copy cat, lol... so i did my own version of the carriage, with more touches and colors that includes edible pearls and ink jelly! Really put love on this one! The party was all ladies, and they all loved it because there was only 6 mini slices left, lol. I'm glad everyone enjoyed it and proud what I've accomplished and made families happy on that occasion! Wink.

One of the things the family enjoys doing on weekends is going to the Wharf, stroll around and have a good time sightseeing. Last weekend though, we weren’t able to visit one of our favourite place cause the husband was so busy finishing his project and I was baking cakes. So anyway this coming weekend would be different because we’re planning to go there early, to see the yachts still with boats covers, in a beautiful array. Came to realized, haven’t done that before, I mean I usually take pictures of sunsets, right now I want to chase the sunrise and the dawn is the right time for that. And yes, the best place must be at the Wharf!

I believed of food simplicity and even it doesn't look good but as long it taste good is good! lol. However, that's the old school way though! My motto ever since i started my cooking hobby is that... it has to be both! Food for me should be.. "Taste good and look good as well", so that it is more inviting and enjoyable. I always make sure people would taste my cooking would love it! I love exploring in other's prospective and ideas and incorporate them with my own ideas, watching food channels, reading recipes and that kind of stuff, help  much and as you go along you would be a good cook.  The French toasts i make is bloody goodness, kicks through your taste buds, lol.

~ Housemates favorite French toasts is made by the chef in the hauz~ lol
These delectable breakfast is only made once in awhile, particular on the weekend day. So this is special. We all slept in a lil bit and preparing the melts in the mouth breakfast treat with our favorite fruits juices on the sides
~ Stuffed peanut butter french toasts with homemade banana and mango caramelized concoction with homemade whipped cream and chocolate dribbles~

Recipe: Loaf of bread, creamy peanut butter spread, 3 eggs, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 cup whipping cream.
For the caramelized fruits : slice banana, slice mango, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp Philly white chocolate cream cheese.
(for drizzle: whipped cream and Hershey's chocolate syrup)

My another slogan is "Typical boring French toast is prohibited in my Kitchen" lol. I am not really a fan of the traditional toast that most do, even my husband does it before. However, when the kitchen was taken over by the lady in his house, i did some twists and turns on my food preparations. I just love food, i just love experimenting, playing and dress up on my food and seeing they turn out beautiful and delish, I feel the satisfaction in me.

So anyway, i am happy to share my French toast recipe with you and have it for your self!

Enjoy Cooking! CIAO!
